That was great Blondie. "Theocratic warfare" at its finest from the legal department that now runs the WBTS.
When will they ever feel shame?
came across this article - .

the case goes to court today i think.. you will notice that the org + the local elders are only interested in protecting confidentiality and are refusing to testify.. the rights of the victims are lower on the priority scale.. makes me shudder.

a legal battle is looming over riverside county's need to protect children, and people's right to practice religion without government intrusion.
a prosecutor wants leaders of a jehovah's witnesses congregation to testify about what a murrieta man accused of molesting two girls told them.
I sure wouldn't want to be an elder in a situation like this. In all good conscience, they should reveal the truth. I am sure they are being used as pawns in the society's games to protect their money, but they will hang them out to dry as soon as it suits them.
How can anyone learn about child molestation and agree to keep it a secret anyway?
Thanks for posting this. How can they believe God is on their side when they are on the side of a child molester?
early on in my adventures here at jwd i went to a posted apostafest in my area.
only 7 or 8 were there, but it was nice to meet others and hears some stories first hand.
last night though i was privileged to attend a family bash at a nice big house with at least 20 awesome people there, and all but one were former dubs (one husband just married in, but was never a dub).
Sounds great oompa! You make me hopeful that others will see behind the curtain soon.
Enjoy your new found friends.
okay everybody, grab your barf bag because i just got a steaming shovel full of craptastic notes from gerrit's zone visit to the land down under !!.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ read at your own risk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~puke.
zone overseer was losch and his side kick was a big black guy, quite a scolar, cant remember his name though.
Radiation, tsunamis, brothers assigned to clean up the dead bodies? Can you just feel the love?
our congregation likes bums on seats.. one sister recently said, "if you're not able to be regular for whatever reason, they treat you like you have leprosy.".
this is true in my case - i am an active fader - i haven't been out on service since last summer, i don't attend book studies but.
i am married and have to support my wife lest she get these pity looks from the friends.. elders and their wives ignore me - some even talk to my wife while i'm next to her but ignore me.. it's weird - i think maybe some resent my freedom from the program - the freedom to just turn up or leave half way through the talk.. i don't really deal with it - i don't know what to say.. .
Taking care of your wife and marriage is what is important now. What the others think or do about you doesn't matter. Spend extra time and effort on your wife. the jws will want to see your marriage fail if you become a "spiritual endangerment" to your wife.
Get ahead of the program and good luck with your fade.
i have recently read escape by a caroline jessop , about a flds lady that got away and when i was reading things she used to believe , that sounded like jw kind of stuff i wondered if a jw read it they may question what they believe , and could read it guilt free because i presume it would not be classed as apostate as it is critical of another relgion also another book about 3 sisters that left the children of god cult had similarities with jws , maybe your relatives that wont even look at apostate stuff would read these type of books .
Sounds like a good book. I remember the watchtower bringing up why they were not a cult while I was still in. I didn't read much about cults then, but in the back of my mind I wondered about some of their tactics.
I have read Steve Hassan's Combatting Cult Mind Control now and the jws do qualify for the cult position. Anything along that line that you can get a jw to read is good for opening a crack in the mind control.
the watchtower society is quite ungrateful.
they teach how jesus was sent to earth so he would be able to relate to people, yet, their circuit overseers, bethelites, and governing body live a life insulated from the real world.. it baffles me how hard some circuit overseers can push pioneering.
it sure is easy when you draw a stipend, get a free car, free health/car insurance, and free shelter for doing nothing but going out in service a lot and giving a few speeches every week.
B-Deserter,
It is not Amway. It has something to do with telephone service. Yes, he does solicit those in the congregation, but worse, he solicits people he calls on in field service.
you know....i realize that my father isn't the most personable person, but good god we dont talk that often, and i just called to ask him a couple questions about my grandmother because i've started to do my family tree...he was just really cold.
and when he didn't ask why i was wanting this info i said, "the reason i'm asking is because i've started my family tree.
" his reply?
Don't know what to tell you, just sorry your parents treat you like that.
I wish there was some way to hold the religious publishing company liable for all the destruction of families and natural affection.
Hope your parents wake up before it's too late.
here is the hypothetical question of the day - would you, or more appropriately, could you live forever in paradise on earth with jw's?
with the hypocrosy, silly elders, silly people... feeding lions and cleaning up after animals... everyone living by waterfalls, like the jw's always portray in they're psychotic pamphlets..... or would you rather be dead.
i, personally, would much rather be dead.
Certainly not, if the elders are going to be "princes". Their heads are way too big now. Far as I can tell, everlasting physical life is an impossibility.
I know an elder who has pioneered for over 20 years. He takes great pride in the fact that he lives below the poverty level here in the US and that he pays no taxes. He manages to support himself through a multi-level marketing scheme. His wife, though able bodied has never worked and they have no children. She is not even a pioneer.
The part that really bites is that they manage to take trips all over the world and write them off as business expences. They lack for nothing and receive all the services that hard working tax payers provide.
They are not only a drain on their congregations, they are a drain on society itself. I do not begrudge those in need of government support, but I have no respect for the underachievers who somehow think they deserve a free ride.
